The ZG-MD90 Fully Automatic Liquid Density Meter reimagines density measurement with its exceptional accuracy (±0.0001 g/cm³) and fully automated workflow, ideal for industries where liquid density is a critical quality parameter. Combining U-tube oscillation technology with advanced temperature compensation, this meter delivers rapid, reliable results for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.


The instrument features a self-priming pump system that eliminates air bubbles, ensuring consistent sample loading into the precision-mechanized oscillation tube. Its touchscreen interface guides users through calibration, measurement, and data management, while the compact design saves valuable lab space without compromising performance.

1. Ultra-High Measurement Precision

Using a quartz U-tube oscillator with a frequency stability of ±0.001 Hz, the ZG-MD90 achieves density measurements accurate to four decimal places (0.0001 g/cm³). The built-in Peltier temperature controller maintains sample temperature at setpoints (5–95°C) with ±0.05°C stability, eliminating thermal expansion errors.


2. Fully Automated Sample Handling

The integrated pump system aspirates 2–5 mL of sample directly from containers, with automatic rinsing and drying cycles between measurements. A barcode scanner reads sample IDs and pre-configured method parameters, reducing manual data entry errors.


3. Multi-Parameter Analysis

In addition to density, the meter calculates relative density (API gravity), Baume degrees, and concentration (via built-in conversion tables for common substances like sulfuric acid and ethanol). The user can create custom calculation formulas for proprietary mixtures.


4. Robust & Chemical-Resistant Design

The wetted parts, including the pump diaphragm and oscillation tube, are constructed from PEEK and sapphire, ensuring compatibility with corrosive liquids like concentrated acids, bases, and organic solvents. An automatic leak detection system shuts down the pump to prevent damage.

Maintenance and Upkeep


1. Daily maintenance of electrodes

  After each use, rinse with distilled water and avoid long term immersion in protein solutions. The glass electrode should be soaked in a pH4 buffer solution, and the reference electrode should be regularly replenished with the internal filling solution.


2. Cleaning and calibration of the burette

  After use, empty the burette in a timely manner and rinse it with distilled water 3 times. If the titrant contains crystalline substances (such as AgNO₃), dissolve them with warm water and then rinse. Regularly calibrate the volume accuracy of the burette with a standard solution.


3. Maintenance of the automatic sampler

  Clean the turntable and the sampling needle every week to prevent residual samples from drying and blocking the pipeline. Check the lubrication of the mechanical arm joints every month and add special lubricant if necessary.
